Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas. Santa brought Moira some fun toys, but once again, Uncle Jeremy gave her her favorite toy, a hello kitty soft weeble type stuffed animal, it rolls on the ground and stands up... she loves it! Last year he gave her a little purple soft dinosaur and it is still her lovey for bed time, she chews on his tail and nose... poor dinosaur.
Moira is growing a ton, she is slowly growing out of all of her footie pj's, I don't know how she is growing as she hardly seems to eat anymore... she's fussy about bottles or cups of milk at all during the day and it is still a struggle usually in the middle of the night to get her to take a bottle, she always wants to nurse, now I start by nursing and then switch to a warmed up bottle. she still is getting 1/2 to 2/3 of her milk consumption at night, I have no idea how to switch that since she won't sit still during the day to drink. Right now she is napping between 20 and 90 min a day, usually closer to 20. Her favorite game is to be carried around the room playing what's that as much as possible. She is back to screaming at daddy if hs tries to take her and I'm within sight... hopefully that will go away soon.
Moira loves to hear her voice! On Friday we were at the grocery store and she kept shrieking, I heard a couple of other customers say that she could pierce someones eardrums... she's not usually crabby when she shrieks, she just likes to shriek... it reminds me and my parents of my sister Bekah's toddler days...
Moira likes to point at mommies eyes, nose, and mouth, and then laugh (the throw your head back and laugh kind of laugh), she has a huge sense of humor... she finds so many things funny. She loves it when her brother jumps out and says hi from behind a door or under the table... she is hilarious.
I am on our friends lap top and am planning of publishing pictures on both the kids blogs tonight, I'm not quite sure how to do it, or if it will work, we'll see!

Busy, Busy One Year Old!

So, our computer has been down for a couple of months... so I haven't been posting at all, right now I am at my moms house. Moira turned one on the third and we had a great little birthday party! She was so sweet all day - didn't fuss once! She had lots of friends and family over and ate a piece of chocolate cake... well, she didn't actually eat it, mostly she smeared it all over her dress, the wall, and her high chair. I will post lots of photos once our computer is working again. Her one year stats are great- 19lbs 5 oz and 29" long, 15% weight 50% height, she is growing great! She is finally in the right size clothes, which is good because I pre-bought lots of clothes for this winter! We probably won't be doing the 12-18 month stuff until next fall though. Moira's favorite game right now is to be carried around the room looking at pictures and everything at the adult eye level and pointing and saying what's that- it actually sounds more like ssthat? She could probably do that all day if we let her! My back hurts too much though. She's getting fussier about food not eating things she used to eat and still doesn't want to do many finger foods. I was planning on weaning her completely from nursing at a year, but all of a sudden when she wakes up at night she doesn't want a bottle, she fusses until she gets to nurse, so we went from one nursing at night and 2-3 bottles to 3-4 nursing and maybe one bottle. Uhg. Oh well, she will wean when she is ready. She is still not walking and doesn't seem much intersted in it, she crawls ulta-fast, i'm in no hurry for her to walk. She still is very attached to mommy but is starting to be more comfortable with grandmas... she has been sick for a couple of weeks and is getting more clingy, I'm sure it will pass. She is so much fun right now! We read about 10 books a day and she likes to point to eyes, nose, and mouth on mommy and her doll. Sleep is still difficult, but when I lay her in her crib after she eats in the middle of the night she usually goes back to sleep on her own which is new. That's all for now, I promise many pictures once Stephan fixes our computer (and we can afford to!)
